We’re really excited to get back down to the Folks a week from Sunday! It’s been a while since Norton Money was tearing it up there. But heck, Jeremy’s in my band, so let’s do it again! It’s an early evening show with things kicking off around 5 and we’ll be on around 6 or 6:30. Really hope you can make it down. It’s a super friendly vibe there too!

It would be great to see you and/or your Santa Cruz friends!
We’re really happy to be back at the 12 Bar! Enterprise Studios is putting on a night chock full of great music. Doors open at 7. We’ll be onstage around 8:30. Hope you can join us!
It’s been a busy couple of weeks on the gigging front. Had a great time playing “Before The Gold Rush” at the Haberdashery recently, with some stellar acts playing before us: The Hallelujah Trails, Russell Joslin and Elin Iversson. Thanks to Steve and Nina for having us down!
A couple days later, I had my Poland debut in a place called Lędziny. My friend, Teddy, hooked up the gig and it was the first ever concert at the new concert hall there. The mayor was there, we were given flowers and I was totally overwhelmed with all the support and fanfar we were given. The next day, we recorded some songs at Polskie Studio Dzwiekowe, a really nice well-equipped studio nearby. I was able to record a couple of my songs onto tape!
The next day, we played Rotuna in Krakow, an amazing circular hall with a balcony and the biggest sound I’ve ever had for just my voice and acoustic guitar. I could definitely get used to playing venues like that! It was probably the coolest venue I’ve ever played. I can’t wait to get back there with my band!
Have some really cool gigs coming up, so please check out the gig page!
We’d love to have you join us for some music!

A meal ticket (£13) is available with both meat and veggie options. Or go for the music ticket (£5) if you’re not that hungry! 3 other great acts will play, including the Hallelujah Trails. The night starts at 7:15 and I should be on around 8:30 or 9.
Tickets are limited, so grab one in advance here http://www.wegottickets.com/event/260095
Hope to see you there!
Had a really fun gig a couple Thursdays ago at Martyn Bonanza’s “Countrier Than Thou” night in Camden. It was my first gig with drummer Tony Natale and had Jeremy and Anna from The Hallelujah Trails on guitar and bass. We only got in a couple of practices before the show but it all came together really naturally. I’m really excited about this rockin new lineup! We played 6 songs off of Car Pizza along with a bombastic version of “Lethargic Hoedown”. We’re also gonna be playing this July at the super fun Maverick Festival! Should be playing monthly gigs soon so stay tuned!
Well, whatta year! Sure has been a busy one and gotta say I’m really happy to have finished and released Car Pizza. It took a lot longer than I ever thought it would but heck, now it’s out there in the world. No more gigs until next year but hope to catch you all at one in 2014. Merry Christmas!!!
Real Love
If I turn around and feel it all fall down
Oh love, time’s just a little bit for us on this stone
Feel it all go cold, nothing to control
Yeah time wipes all our memories yeah but not our soul
When I’m 6 feet underground, nothing can keep me down
Oh love, time’s just a little bit for us on this stone
If I turn around and feel it all fall down
Oh love, time’s just a little bit for us on this stone
Real love
This is real love

Fire Within
Waterfall, I couldn’t see it as fell
Through the blue clear curtain
See through it all, the wild mist surrounds me take some time
In my mind, I’ve been here
This life in between
What’s become and what remains un
Won’t put out the fire within
Floating still, moving how the currents make me
I hit the side of something
Didn’t you say I had nothing on my mind
Maybe you were right, maybe you were wrong
This life in between
What’s become and what remains un
This life heads or tails
Heads you lose tails, I win it’s strange
Won’t put out the fire within
Dan: vocals, guitars, bass, drums
Wasted Time
On the phone, a song so familiar
Through the mud, creeps like a villain
Holiday home, stare at the table
Who does it own, I’m asking questions
You think it’s just a wasted time
Your heart open up a piece at a time
I like your friends but not their constant chatter
Still on the phone, really have to wonder
What time it was when you left and said just a minute longer
What time it is, what time it will be
Dan: vocals, guitars, bass, drums
Overdrive
My mind set on overdrive
My mind set on overdrive
And you lighting up the sun
Tell me I’m the one
My mind has seen the other side
My mind has seen this side
Away, how long will we stay
Away, how long will we stay
Away, how long will we stay
Away, away
Dan: vocals, guitars, bass, drums, tambourine
Oceans In My Mind
Oh, the days well they pass me by, Lord
Pass me by like I’m standing still
Not afraid to close my eyes, dear
Close my eyes and just feel
Everyday I find my friend
There’ll be no end, not as far as I can see
Every time we wave goodbye, sayin, don’t you cry
You’re a part of me
Crossing oceans in my mind
Feel the wind and the sunshine
Keep me safe and warm
Don’t let no harm come to me
In a pile I found your letters
Found your letters underneath my bed
Don’t know why I never told you
Never told no one, part of my disguise
Dan: vocals, guitar, ukulele
Hanna Grahm: fiddle
Her Favorite Song
Wait up my friend
Uncovered all my sins
And why it took so long
To write her favorite song
Days of fog
I’m trying to keep it all
Time will tell
I was right and wrong
Why’d it take so long
To write her favorite song
Dan: vocals, guitar, harmonica
I Have Seen
I have seen the forest floor
In my mind I can’t say no more
In between what lights the sun
Holding on to everyone
Day and night I walk along
On my own but not alone
Can you see where I’ve been
Can you see I’ll ask again
I have see the desert plain
In my dreams and what remains
For just one I’ll make the sign
For the one by the time
Day and night I walk along
On my own but not alone
Can you see where I am
Can you see where I stand
I have seen the ocean blue
Find my voice coming through
Where I’ve been and what I’ve done
Holding on to everyone
Day and night I walk along
On my own but not alone
Can you see where I’m going
Can you see where I’m going
Dan: vocal, acoustic guitar, mandolin, bass, drums

Home
Light speeds the day, I’m movin
Time slows, it’s ok
Still movin
Home
Heart like the sun, risin
Up to the time, it leads me… home
On my mind, with the sign
The sign that keeps me guessing
On my mind, on my mind
Fall asleep tryin
Light speeds the dawn, I’m movin
Time slows, won’t be long
Still movin
Dan: vocals, guitars, pedal steel, bass, drums
Let It Be
Walking streets of this streets
See a mom and baby
What happens in this round
If nobody loves you
Let it be
See the lights and shadows gleam
Under one big family
Keep it flowing downstream
But before you send your heart out
Before you start it all
Before you wrap yourself up
Take a minute and breathe
Wild flowers in the sun
Blowing in the summer breeze
I’d like to see you for a while
Ships go sailing far away
Trains and planes take your love today
Take a walk to the pizza place
Night returns like a promise
I’m back there with a melody
Get some sleep it’ll be alright
Dan: vocals, guitar
Hold On Again
Hold on again
Hold on my friend
The forecast calls for wind
Hold on again
All by myself the curtain
The rails on I’m lookin
They’ll take me home
Hold on again
Hold on pretend
Tomorrow will bring in
Hold on again
Until life come flowers
In spring dear it’s all flowers
You’ll make it home
Dan: vocals, guitars, bass, drums
Violet Ease
Can I say that I’m full up
Send me to zoo I’m like a disease
In the market in the front yard
Got my soul and I can see
So bye young sailor
Lie down violet ease
My cup is empty for
No matter how I need
Dan: vocals, guitar
Really enjoyed playing a couple of gigs back in California. Nice to meet some new friends at the Cinema Bar in Culver City and then got to play with Chris Jones and Scary Little Friends up in San Francisco at a place called Amnesia. Their new album “From The Beginning” is fantastic and it was a whole lotta fun to join them on a few of those tunes.
I put my last few solo albums up on iTunes so feel to have a listen there and please tell your friends. Also, my 1st band, Jiff, released an album called “Tabula Rasa” back in 1996 and I felt like putting that up on iTunes as well. It was partly produced by Frank Infante, the guitarist from Blondie, and it was a lot of fun working with him and driving around Hollywood in his car while he played me his favorite current albums for production ideas.
The other band I play in, Grace Solero, just released our 2nd album, “Hundred Years Apart”. We had a really fun record release party at the Water Rats in London. Had a great turnout and a stellar opening set from Affa David. Luckily the ceiling above the stage didn’t collapse while we were performing because it sure did collapse a few days ago, just before a band was meant to soundcheck. Yikes! That might be a whole new phobia for performers. We hit the road for our UK tour in 2 weeks and we’re really excited to see some new places and meet new people.
Made it back from the wilds of our UK tour. Great to play in all sorts of places up and down England and Wales. We even got to spend a night in a double-decker bus turned into a dream band bus that has tons of bunk beds, heat, a bathroom and kitchen. Thanks to Malc at the Snooty Fox in Wakefield for putting us up! We played with a band called Black Tears and they play some cool grungy type of rock. Their songs have been stuck in my head since we got back late Sunday. And they’re just really fun people to hang out with. It’s really intense playing a few nights in a row but definitely gets things sounding better and better every night.
My next Dan Beaulaurier gig is at the end of January but I’m gonna try to sort out at least some solo gigs for before then. Will keep you posted!
